Special Issue
To mark the scientific success of the International Conference on Photochemistry 2021 (ICP 2021), we are planning a special virtual issue combining papers from the meeting that will be published in the journal Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences (PPS) published by Springer. We would therefore like to invite all registered participants to contribute to this special issue in the form of an original research article. Contributions should be received by January 31, 2022 and will be peer-reviewed as usual. Submission should take place through the website of the journal, like for a regular paper, and the cover letter should clearly state that the manuscript is intended for the ICP 2021 special issue.
Publication of conference papers is essential to enhancing the international visibility of a conference series and maintaining a written record of the scientific exchanges. We therefore particularly encourage all the Plenary and Invited Speakers to participate in this event and several of them have already committed to submitting a contribution.
To avoid delays, contributions will be combined into a virtual issue devoted to the conference. Papers will therefore be published with page numbers as soon as ready-for-print. All publications will carry a footnote referencing the virtual issue that collects all the contributions to this unique event.
During the ICP, Dario Bassani, Editor-in-chief for chemistry of PPS, will say a few words about the special issue and the journal on Monday, July 19, at 13:50 (CEST), and Springer will hold a virtual booth where the publisher’s staff will be happy to answer any questions participants may have.
If you have an appropriate paper currently in process with PPS or are planning to submit shortly and would like the paper considered for the issue, please contact the office of Dario Bassani.
We encourage participation, as this will be also beneficial towards supporting and shaping future research in photochemistry, and, in case also you would like to participate, please contact any of the guest editors:
- Alexandre Fürstenberg, University of Geneva
- Tatu Kumpulainen, University of Jyväskylä
